Fash App — Privacy Policy

Thank you for using Fash ("we", "our", "us"). We built Fash to help fashion creators, influencers, stylists, and shoppers connect through fashion posts, verified profiles, and earnings features. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

1. Scope

This policy applies to information collected when you use our mobile apps, websites, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). It covers all users, including guests, registered accounts, and verified creators who participate in our earnings program.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

Account information: name, username, email address, phone number, password, and profile photo.

• Profile details: bio, fashion profession, favorite shops and brands, links to social media, portfolio, and other information you include in your public profile.

• Content: photos, videos, captions, hashtags, comments, and other material you post.

• Payment information: when you send or receive Accolades (tips), we collect payment details processed securely by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.

• Communications: messages you send to other users and any correspondence with us.

Information collected automatically:

• Device information: device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and mobile network.

• Usage data: features you use, content you view, interactions with posts and stories, and time spent on the app.

• Location data: approximate location from IP address; precise GPS location only when you enable location tagging for posts.

• Log data: IP address, browser type, referring URLs, and error logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Services.

• Personalize your feed and content recommendations.

• Process Accolade payments and manage creator earnings.

• Send notifications about activity related to your account.

• Detect fraud, spam, and violations of our community guidelines.

• Comply with legal obligations.

• Communicate with you about updates, new features, and promotions (with your consent).

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

• Publicly: Your profile, posts, stories, and public content are visible to all Fash users and, where applicable, to the public internet.

• Service providers: We share data with vendors who help us operate the Services (e.g., AWS for storage, Stripe for payments, Firebase for notifications, Agora for calls). These vendors are contractually obligated to protect your data.

• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

• Business transfers: If Fash is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Services. When you delete your account, we begin the process of removing your data from our systems, typically within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

6. Your Rights and Choices

1. Access & correction: You can view and update your profile information in the app at any time.

2. Delete account: You can delete your account from Settings. This removes your profile, posts, and earnings history permanently.

3. Notification preferences: Manage push notification preferences in Settings → Notification.

4. Blocked accounts: You can block users who you do not want to interact with. Blocked users cannot view your profile or content.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, secure token-based authentication, and regular security audits. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Fash is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Users

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own. By using Fash, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of Fash after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
