Child Safety Standards – THE FASH APP
Last Updated: 23 October 2026
THE FASH APP has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out the standards every person using THE FASH APP must follow, how we enforce them, and how to report a concern. These standards apply to all content, accounts, messages, and behaviour on the platform, worldwide.
1. Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on THE FASH APP. There are no exceptions, and no claimed artistic, fashion, educational, or satirical purpose makes them permissible:
Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — any image, video, or other depiction of a minor engaged in sexually explicit or sexually suggestive conduct, including computer-generated, drawn, edited, or AI-generated material.
Sexualisation of minors — posting, sharing, or soliciting content that sexualises or sexually exploits a person under 18, including content that frames a minor's body or clothing in a sexualised way.
Child grooming — contacting, befriending, or building a relationship with a minor in order to sexually exploit or abuse them.
Sextortion — threatening to expose intimate imagery of a person in order to coerce them into sexual activity, payment, or further imagery.
Child trafficking — advertising, recruiting, or facilitating the sexual exploitation or trafficking of a minor.
Facilitating or promoting CSAE — linking to, advertising, requesting, or offering to trade CSAM or other CSAE material, on or off the platform.
Inappropriate contact with minors — sending sexual messages, sexual imagery, or sexual requests to a person under 18.
Attempting any of the above, or encouraging another person to do so, is treated the same as doing it.
2. Minimum Age
THE FASH APP is not intended for children. You must be at least 13 years old — or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if that age is higher — to create an account, as set out in our Terms of Use. Accounts we identify as belonging to a person under the minimum age are removed.
3. How We Enforce These Standards
Removal. Content that violates these standards is removed from THE FASH APP when we become aware of it.
Account termination. We permanently terminate the account of any person who posts, shares, or solicits CSAE material, or who attempts to exploit a minor. This is a first-strike offence — there is no warning and no appeal path for confirmed CSAE.
Reporting to authorities. We report apparent child sexual abuse material and credible threats to a child's safety to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to relevant law enforcement, as required by applicable law. We preserve related account records and content for those investigations.
Human review. Reports relating to child safety are prioritised for review by our moderation team ahead of other report categories.
Re-registration. We take steps to prevent people removed for CSAE violations from returning to the platform under a new account.
4. How to Report a Child Safety Concern
Anyone can report CSAE content or behaviour to us, whether or not they have a FASH account.
In the app — report a post. Open the post, tap the ⋯ menu, tap Report, and choose Child safety or sexual exploitation of a minor.
In the app — report an account. Open the profile, tap the ⋯ menu, tap Report, and describe the concern. You can also block the account from the same menu.
In the app — send feedback. Go to Settings → Send Feedback and choose the Child safety category.
By email. Write to hello@thefashapp.com with the subject line Child Safety.
Please do not download, save, or re-share suspected child sexual abuse material in order to report it. A link, username, or description of where the content appears is enough for us to act.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or law enforcement first. In the United States, you can also report directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or on 1-800-843-5678.
5. Child Safety Point of Contact
Our designated point of contact for child safety matters, including enquiries from law enforcement, child protection organisations, and regulators, is:
hello@thefashapp.com — subject line Child Safety
6. Compliance
These standards are published in compliance with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy and Apple's App Review Guidelines, and are intended to meet our obligations under applicable child protection laws in the territories where THE FASH APP is available. They sit alongside and reinforce the prohibited-conduct rules in our Terms of Use and the handling commitments in our Privacy Policy.
7. Changes to These Standards
We review these standards regularly and update them as our product, our obligations, and industry practice change. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
